The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Fantastic Four saga introduces its Galactus, confirming Ralph Ineson for the part. This revelation came to light on May 9, highlighting that Ineson will breathe life into the infamous adversary. Interestingly, this assignment isn't Ineson's initial foray into the MCU realm.
Ralph Ineson graced the MCU with his presence back in 2014 through his role as a Ravager pilot in Guardians of the Galaxy, subtly marking his entry well before this substantial part. Ineson isn't alone in his transition across different characters within the MCU. Notables such as Linda Cardellini, who transitioned from portraying Clint Barton's spouse Laura to voicing Lylla in Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Michelle Yeoh, with roles in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Gemma Chan, from Captain Marvel to Sersi in Eternals, exemplify this trend.
With Fantastic Four, Ineson will be part of a grand ensemble. The iconic superhero squad will feature Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (the Thing), with Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer. John Malkovich and Paul Walter Hauser are also onboard in roles yet to be disclosed.
Renowned for his portrayal in the UK's The Office, Ineson has showcased his talent in a number of significant films like The Witch, The Green Knight, Ready Player One, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Northman, and The Creator. His future projects include starring in Robert Eggers' Nosferatu with Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, and Lily-Rose Depp, and Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein, sharing the screen with Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, and Mia Goth.
Anticipation builds as Fantastic Four is set to premiere on July 25, 2025.
